After my design was created, it was time to send to cut. OraCal 651 cuts with the settings blade 1, speed 8, and thickness 9. If you are using a Cricut Explore, you will want to use the setting "viny". Once my design was cut, I weeded away the excess and cavities, then I squeegeed my application tape onto my design. Remember to start from the center and squeeze out to the edges to remove any bubbles.
Now it was time to apply to the pumpkin. Since the pumpkin is a round object with ridges and bumps and far from smooth, I expected to see the bumps in the vinyl. Don't worry, I was able to smooth most of them out with my finger. The bumps that wouldn't smooth out completely do not take away from the design.
You can make these pumpkins look any way you wish! I love seeing fall decor on porches that reflect the house number, family name, or something similar. What better way than to use vinyl?
